In doing so, we were able to streamline the data collection process and obviate the need for costly outsourced imaging services. A typical construction defect claim can require the management of thousands of evidentiary photographs, presenting problems for both analysis and retrieval. Having the right photograph immediately accessible is a critical asset at mediation and during expert exchange. CAD: Our on-site CAD department is able to work directly with in-house technical staff to produce computer generated graphics and 3D models which can be presented in a virtual environment meeting the specific needs of each case in a cost effective manner. Expert analysis presented in combination with CAD graphics can demonstrate discrepancies between opposing quantifications of conditions, and illuminate the relationship between building components. Our experts also work with our CAD department to demonstrate repair concepts, develop repair specifications, and visually correlate locations to defect conditions.

ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT ARCHIVING AND RETRIEVAL: Construction defect claims are document intensive; many times involving hundreds or thousands of pages of documents, photographs, and drawings. BHA staff and clientele are supported by state-of-the-art digital document management systems. Large-format drawings, depositions, project related documents are digitized and available via our company intranet, and can be exported to compact disk or other removable media, promoting cost effective inter-expert document exchange and archiving.
